CM flags off ‘Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat Run’ in city

Patna: CM Samrat Choudhary on Friday took part in the ‘Nari Shakti for Viksit Bharat Run’ organised under the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Abhiyan’ in the state capital. He flagged off women participants at the event held at Digha Golambar on J P Ganga Path and also signed the signature campaign being conducted as part of the drive.BJP MLA and former minister Shreyasi Singh welcomed the CM with a bouquet and ‘angavastra’, while women attending the programme greeted him by waving their hands.

Chaudhary highlighted Bihar’s record on women’s representation, saying former CM Nitish Kumar had provided 50% reservation for women in Panchayati Raj institutions and urban local bodies.
